Update: "Taiping Four" gorillas to be returned to Cameroon in November

Gor_finger_mouthEveryone here at IFAW is very delighted that the official announcement of the return of the Taiping 4 gorillas was made on Friday.

The announcement was made at a lunchtime event held at the gorilla enclosure of the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa in Pretoria. The event was well attended by government representatives including the SA Department of Environment and SA Department of Foreign Affairs, the High Commissioners for Malaysia and Cameroon, other guests and the media.

Transport for the Taiping 4 is being generously provided by Kenya Airways.

The Animals in Haiti Need Your Support We urgently need your donation to help IFAW's emergency relief teams on the ground in Haiti. Your donation will help us buy the bandages, vaccines, antibiotics and other supplies for our mobile veterinary clinic.

We have partnered with WSPA to mount a coordinated animal relief response, and our team has deployed into the devastated country.

Your donation will go directly into IFAW's Emergency Relief fund, and will be used immediately and where needed most to help the animal victims of Haiti and our Emergency Relief work around the world.
